Learn what it takes to develop and control the power of your thoughts.
Excerpts from Chapter 11: Develop and Control the Power of Thought
Carefully analyze the mental images of your desires. They must be truthful and scientifically exact. By this, I mean that your mental images must be realistic. They can be fantastic, but they must be obtainable and something that you truly desire to have AND are willing to sacrifice everything for. So, if you do not have a great voice or stage presence or an ear for music, don't create mental images of being a rock star or opera singer, no matter how much you might want that. If you seriously do not like sitting and working inside on a computer all day long, do not pick a career as an architect, investor, engineer, or the like. If you want to have children, don't dream of an exciting life with someone you are attracted to that dosen't. For the most part, you cannot control another person's thoughts or behavior. I trust I have made my point. Your mental images need to be honest and focused on something you know you can carry out. This will prevent you from attempting things that you are almost certain to fail at and direct your energy to real goals where your reward will be consistant with who you really are.
To think is to create via thought, but to control the result of that thought will require certain factors that give thought the dynamics necessary to make your mental images reality. Like baking a cake - you need milk, eggs, and flour. Leave out one or two of those ingredients and you have nothing worth eating, just mush. The dynamics of your thought and subsequent results will depend upon its form, its quality, and its vitality. These three factors, if not properly applied to your thoughts, give you nothing worth chewing on.
The Master Key System describes it this way:
The Form of your thought will depend upon the mental images from which it originates. This will depend upon the depth of the impression, the predominance of the idea, the clarity of the vision, and the boldness of the image. It's like a vivid picture compared to a fuzzy picture. A strong, clear, deep impression is needed.
The Quality of your thoughts depends upon its substance, and this depends upon the material of which the mind is composed. If this material has been woven from thoughts of vigor, strength, courage, and determination, the thought will possess these qualities. For example, if you are going to make an article of clothing and you want it to last a lifetime, you would select a good quality fabric that is durable and strong. Your thread would be equally as strong. Your your buttons and zippers would also be of the best quality as to never wear out.
The Vitality of your thoughts depends upon the feeling with which the thought is impregnated. If the thought is constructive, it will possess vitality. It will have life. It will grow, develop, expand, and it will be creative. It will attract to itself everything necessary for its complete development. If the thought is destructive, it will have within itself the germ of its own dissolution. It will die, but in the process of dying, it will bring sickness, disease, and every other form of discord. Simply put, I could not have explained this any better myself! To be continued...
